Jay C Hammond journalist and content curatorHello!

Let me introduce myself. My name is JC Hammond. Since 1991, I’ve been a freelance technical writer, editor, marketer and content curator.

Some of you may recognize me as the creative force behind the Preternatural Post, the social media community manager for the LinkedIN Group Informed Ideas for Writers, the former Managing Editor of AccountingWEB.com or the Manager of the Information Development and System Test departments of NCS (now Pearson Education). Currently I am the senior marketing & communications specialist for SimplyWell LLC. I also wrote The Twe-Guide to TBRP, a basic guide to using Twitter for Role-players and fans.

I call my consulting business Informed Ideas because it expresses my goal to connect people (and organizations) with ideas and information that can help them succeed. To do that I have helped create the first online help system for a leading hotel property management system, analyzed the differences between the American and Canadian versions of an online payment processing system in order to help provide a more unified user experience, moderated panels at pop culture conventions and edited financial workbooks and annual reports. My byline has appeared on hundreds of articles in magazines ranging from Budget Travel to Renaissance Magazine as well as on numerous websites along the way. I regularly contribute to more than 15 blogs or websites and manage nearly 20 Twitter accounts as well as facilitating a LinkedIN Group with more than 9,000 members.

I appreciate your interest in me, my blog, the online community I founded and my writing services. If you would like to know more, please connect with me via your social media of choice or use the form below to contact me. As one of my more popular pen names would say: “I don’t bite…unless asked very nicely -smirks-”

Welcome to Informed Ideas. Enjoy your visit and don’t be a stranger!
